Fangoria Magazines for Sale

Enter the blood‑spattered world of horror movies with Fangoria magazine. Original issues are now available for sale at OriginalMagazines.com, giving collectors decades of behind‑the‑scenes effects, interviews, and cult‑film coverage from horror’s most famous magazine.

A Brief History of Fangoria Magazine

Fangoria launched in 1979 as a horror‑film magazine, quickly becoming the go‑to print source for fans of scary movies, special effects, and genre news.

After a long monthly print run that lasted until 2015, the magazine went through ownership changes, a hiatus, and then a major relaunch in 2018 as a deluxe, quarterly, print‑only publication under new leadership—recommitting to horror fandom with high‑quality production.

What Made Fangoria Stand Out

Fangoria stands out for:

Set visits, makeup‑effects breakdowns, and practical‑FX coverage
Interviews with directors, effects artists, and actors in horror and cult film
A willingness to spotlight low‑budget and independent horror long before it was “cool”

Its pages made readers feel like insiders on the gory, inventive side of filmmaking—not just passive moviegoers.

Why Collectors Value Fangoria Today

Collectors chase Fangoria because it chronicles horror cinema in real time. Popular collecting angles include:

Issues tied to the release of major horror films and franchises
Early coverage of now‑classic directors, actors, and effects artists
Specific decades (80s slashers, 90s video boom, 2000s remakes, etc.)

Original issues are especially prized because a warehouse fire in 2007 destroyed the central back‑issue stock, which means surviving copies live mostly in private collections and the secondary market.
