This collectible issue of Harper’s Bazaar from April 1963 features an iconic springtime cover by Lillian Bassman. The image captures a playful, ultra-feminine mood with a bold fling of polka dots in a "springtime world" full of whimsy and flourish. The featured silk organza ensemble is by Halston for Bergdorf Goodman, also available at Wanamaker’s (Philadelphia), Rich’s (Atlanta), and Joseph Magnin. Accessories include Amarela earrings and swinging black plastic bobs mimicking chains of gold. The look is completed with DuBarry’s Debut Pink lipstick, a dewy young red.
