This Harper’s Bazaar June 1961 issue captures strong summer fashion statements with a bold varistriped cotton shirtdress and oversized striped bag. The look—defined by ballooned hues, a high neckline, and three oversized belt pleats—is from David Hart and Herbert Meyer. Priced at around $65, it was available at Miss Bergdorf of Bergdorf Goodman, Julius Garfinckel, I. Magnin, Neiman-Marcus, and J. Magnin. The wide-brimmed straw hat is by Emme.
