- The Cover
- Some boatmen enjoy lathering up summertime water with high-speed goings-on. Other boatmen prefer it flat and fishable, and so calm that things like highball glasses won’t tip over. As for fish (such as the run of weakfish downstains in artist Ben Prins’ scene), they aren’t very smart to prefer undisturbed water, because if they are scared away, they won’t commit suicide on fish-hooks. Well, that boy and girl should be chastised for their safety-lash deviltry, and yet do those irate old folks realize that only 9 per cent of boat accidents involve teen-agers, that the most numerous accident-causers, proportionately, are middle-aged fishermen who overload their boats or otherwise handle them dimwittedly? Hey, you with the big fish—sit down before you land in the ocean.
