Why is she always late getting ready to go places where she says she is crazy to go? What is she, scatter-brained? If a fellow should marry her someday, would she ever get his meals on time? . . . At some point during this keen analysis, the girl will come floating downstairs like a vision from heaven. The boy will stop thinking. In a coma of speechless adoration, he will take her to the dance. He will probably take her to hundreds of dances, all the rest of their lives. So there you have the way of a maid with a man. No sense to it. But it’s nice.
