    • Constantin Alajalov saw a little baby-snow walking along Sixth Avenue when he was breaking his way just to get the gal for his Mother’s Day painting. He invited her to pose for the cover, a national magazine. Not at all impressed, Nancy said he had better find a girl friend. It turned out there are things that impress her, even if art doesn’t. Telling the artist that her favorite actor is James Mason, she added, “I want to be engaged to the man in the Socks and James Mason Club.” Alajalov couldn’t promise as much as that, but by spring and summer the baby friend had been riding in the baby carriage. “I’m going to organize the I Want to Sock James Mason Club,” the boy friend said gloomily.
