Description

Vogue Magazine August 15, 1955 Barbara Mullen Cover by Clifford Coffin

From a privately held Vogue archive, 1920s–1970s. These were stored away for decades and recently brought back into circulation. We performed light, dry surface cleaning at the outer spine (vacuum/brush/smoke sponge only; no wet methods), then placed each issue in a new archival sleeve.

What to expect: honest vintage traits, binding wear or small splits, staple-rust halos, edge toning, and period shelf dust that can appear as black residue along the spine. Interiors are dry and legible. Some copies retain a light vintage paper aroma typical of mid-century magazines.

Each listing shows the exact issue you’ll receive. Any condition materially beyond the above is noted in that item’s description. These characteristics reflect long, earlier storage before we acquired the collection; all items are now housed in clean sleeves and stored upright.

This Vogue issue from August 15, 1955, features Barbara Mullen photographed by Clifford Coffin, capturing the poised elegance of mid-century autumn fashion. A stunning reflection of postwar refinement, it marks the transition from summer to early fall with iconic silhouettes, furs, and fabrics that defined 1950s sophistication.

The condition of the item is in good condition. The item being pictured in this listing is exactly the same item you will receive.
