Description

Vogue Magazine February 1, 1962 Wilhelmina Cooper by Karen Radkai

From a privately held Vogue archive, 1920s–1970s. These were stored away for decades and recently brought back into circulation. We performed light, dry surface cleaning at the outer spine (vacuum/brush/smoke sponge only; no wet methods), then placed each issue in a new archival sleeve.

What to expect: honest vintage traits, binding wear or small splits, staple-rust halos, edge toning, and period shelf dust that can appear as black residue along the spine. Interiors are dry and legible. Some copies retain a light vintage paper aroma typical of mid-century magazines.

Each listing shows the exact issue you’ll receive. Any condition materially beyond the above is noted in that item’s description. These characteristics reflect long, earlier storage before we acquired the collection; all items are now housed in clean sleeves and stored upright.

This is an original Vogue magazine issue from February 1, 1962, featuring model Wilhelmina Cooper photographed by Karen Radkai on the cover. This early-1960s issue captures Vogue’s polished transition into the decade of modern American fashion, marked by architectural tailoring, youthful silhouettes, and a confident national style. Blending fashion reportage, literature, and cultural commentary, it showcases the refined minimalism and intellectual edge that defined the era.
