Description

Vogue Magazine June 1961 Dorothy McGowan Cover by Tom Palumbo

From a privately held Vogue archive, 1920s–1970s. These were stored away for decades and recently brought back into circulation. We performed light, dry surface cleaning at the outer spine (vacuum/brush/smoke sponge only; no wet methods), then placed each issue in a new archival sleeve.

What to expect: honest vintage traits, binding wear or small splits, staple-rust halos, edge toning, and period shelf dust that can appear as black residue along the spine. Interiors are dry and legible. Some copies retain a light vintage paper aroma typical of mid-century magazines.

Each listing shows the exact issue you’ll receive. Any condition materially beyond the above is noted in that item’s description. These characteristics reflect long, earlier storage before we acquired the collection; all items are now housed in clean sleeves and stored upright.

This June 1961 issue of Vogue features Dorothy McGowan on the cover, photographed by Tom Palumbo. Capturing the elegance and confidence of early 1960s fashion, this issue offers an extraordinary blend of style, travel, and culture—from Mainbocher’s signature look to insightful features by Joan Didion and Mary Roblee Henry.

The magazine is in good condition, showing normal signs of age and handling. The exact item pictured is the one you will receive. Please check the photos for condition purposes.
We offer combined shipping upon request, and all items come with a plastic protective covering for preservation.
