Description

Vogue Magazine March 1, 1941 Tina McDonnell Cover by John Rawlings

From a privately held Vogue archive, 1920s–1970s. These were stored away for decades and recently brought back into circulation. We performed light, dry surface cleaning at the outer spine (vacuum/brush/smoke sponge only; no wet methods), then placed each issue in a new archival sleeve.

What to expect: honest vintage traits, binding wear or small splits, staple-rust halos, edge toning, and period shelf dust that can appear as black residue along the spine. Interiors are dry and legible. Some copies retain a light vintage paper aroma typical of mid-century magazines.

Each listing shows the exact issue you’ll receive. Any condition materially beyond the above is noted in that item’s description. These characteristics reflect long, earlier storage before we acquired the collection; all items are now housed in clean sleeves and stored upright.

This March 1, 1941 issue of Vogue features Tina McDonnell on the cover, photographed by John Rawlings. Published on the eve of America’s entry into World War II, this edition captures a world balancing glamour, creativity, and cultural reflection. With contributions from acclaimed writers including Carson McCullers and Paul Hyde Bonner, it presents an extraordinary intersection of art, literature, and fashion during a time of global transformation.

The magazine is in good condition, showing normal signs of age. The exact item pictured is the one you will receive. Please check photos for condition purposes.
We offer combined shipping upon request, and all of our items come with a plastic protective covering for preservation.
