Description

Vogue Magazine September 1, 1954 Evelyn Tripp Cover by Erwin Blumenfeld GD Interior

From a privately held Vogue archive, 1920s–1970s. These were stored away for decades and recently brought back into circulation. We performed light, dry surface cleaning at the outer spine (vacuum/brush/smoke sponge only; no wet methods), then placed each issue in a new archival sleeve.

What to expect: honest vintage traits, binding wear or small splits, staple-rust halos, edge toning, and period shelf dust that can appear as black residue along the spine. Interiors are dry and legible. Some copies retain a light vintage paper aroma typical of mid-century magazines.

Each listing shows the exact issue you’ll receive. Any condition materially beyond the above is noted in that item’s description. These characteristics reflect long, earlier storage before we acquired the collection; all items are now housed in clean sleeves and stored upright.

This September 1, 1954 issue of Vogue features Evelyn Tripp on the cover, photographed by the renowned Erwin Blumenfeld, whose avant-garde use of light and color defined postwar fashion imagery. The issue captures the elegance and femininity of mid-1950s couture, spotlighting the latest Paris and American fashions, alongside refined features on beauty, travel, and culture.

The magazine is in acceptable condition with good interior, showing creases, marks, and light wear consistent with its age. There may be small rips as well. The exact item pictured is the one you will receive. Please check photos for condition purposes.
We offer combined shipping upon request, and all of our items come with a plastic protective covering for preservation.
