- Some well-meaning people, when they take their dogs outdoors in rugged weather, doll them up in blankets or sweaters or even a natty pair of pants. The psychology of a few pooches appears to thrive under this treatment, but most of them, while parading around in human clothes, look mad enough to bite the hand that is on the other end of the leash. But don’t worry about the hangdog complex which Butch, on this week’s cover, is apparently acquiring from his raincoat. Gloria Guzman, South American musical-comedy star, made him a present of the garment out of the kindness of her heart when she was visiting Artist Al Staehle’s wife a while back. “Confidentially,” Al reports, “I only made Butch wear the damn thing once.”
